LEAST AGE FOR MARRIAGE OF WOMEN FROM 18 TO 21: CABINET CLEARS PROPOSAL

The proposition to raise the base time of marriage for ladies from 18 to 21 was cleared by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday, a year later Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the arrangement is under survey.

Head of the state Modi, during his Independence Day discourse last year, had made a notice of the proposition.

"This administration is continually worried about the wellbeing of little girls and sisters. To save the little girls from ailing health, it is important that they're hitched at the right age," the Prime Minister had said.
