A HUGE FIRE AT THE MUMBAI HIGHRISE LEFT 2 DEAD AND SEVERAL INJURED.


A massive fire broke out inside a 20-story residential structure in Mumbai this morning, killing two people.

The big blaze started about 7 a.m. on the 18th floor of the Kamla building opposite Gandhi Hospital near Gowalia Tank in Mumbai's Tardeo district, injuring at least 15 people.

Six senior persons required oxygen assistance, according to Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, who spoke to news agency ANI. The blaze "Although the situation is under control, the amount of smoke is enormous. Everyone has been rescued "she continued.

The fire department and police had hurried to the scene after being notified.
