A SECURITY ALERT WAS ISSUED ON REPUBLIC DAY, INDICATING A TERROR PLOT AND A THREAT TO PRIME MINISTER MODI.

According to a nine-page intelligence input, PM Modi and other dignitaries who will be present at the Republic Day celebrations face a threat.

The intelligence agencies received a warning on Republic Day about a possible terror plot against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries.

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are all likely to be invited as prominent guests.

The threat had originated from parties headquartered in the Pakistan/Afghanistan-Pakistan region, according to the message. These groups intended to sabotage/disrupt public gatherings, critical establishments, and crowded places in order to attack high-ranking dignitaries.

Drones could also be used to carry out the strikes. Terrorist groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, The Resistance Force, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, and Hizb-ul-Mujahedeen are claimed to be behind the threat, according to the information.

According to the information, Pakistan-based Khalistani groups are also mobilising cadres to reunite and resurrect militancy in Punjab. They also intend to carry out targeted assaults in Punjab and other provinces.

Khalistani terror groups are planned to assault the Prime Minister's meeting and tour sites, according to information gathered in February 2021.
