In Delhi and West Bengal, daily coronavirus cases decreased somewhat. West Bengal recorded 9,385 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, bringing the daily case tally below 10,000 for the first time in 12 days. The number of new Covid cases in Delhi fell by 31.4 percent from the previous day, owing to a decrease in the number of tests. Meanwhile, India plans to start immunizing children aged 12 to 14 in March, according to Dr. NK Arora, chairman of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI). India has given out 157 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccination so far.

According to data from the Union Health Ministry as of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, there were new Covid-19 instances in the last 24 hours. The total number of Omicron cases in India now stands at 8,891, up 8.31 percent from yesterday.
