REALME 9I LAUNCHED IN INDIA WITH TRIPLE REAR CAMERAS AND SNAPDRAGON 680 SOC: PRICE, SPECS
On Tuesday, the Realme
9i was released in India. The new Realme phone is the follow-up to the Realme
8i, which was released last year. The Realme 9i is distinguished from last
year's model by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and 33W rapid
charging. Dual stereo speakers and triple rear cameras are also included in the
smartphone. The Realme 9i, on the other hand, features a 90Hz display, which is
a reduction from last year's model, which had a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi
Note 10S and Samsung Galaxy M32 will battle against the Realme 9i. The phone's
higher variant will compete with the Redmi Note 11T 5G.
Realme 9i price and
availability in India
The base 4GB RAM +
64GB storage edition of the Realme 9i is priced at Rs. 13,999 in India. A 6GB +
128GB model at a price of Rs. 15,999 is also available. The phone will be
available in two colours: Prism Black and Prism Blue, and will go on sale on
January 25. The Realme 9i will be available for purchase in India through
Flipkart, Realme.com, and certain offline shops. On January 22, there will be
an early sale that will be available only on Flipkart and Realme.com.
The Realme 8i was also
released last year for the same price of Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB version
and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB option.
Last week, the Realme
9i was also released in Vietnam. It was priced at VND 6,290,000 (approximately
Rs. 20,500) for the single 6GB + 128GB model.
Specifications and
features of the Realme 9i
The Realme 9i offers a
6.6-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,412 pixels) display with a 20.1:9 aspect ratio and a
90Hz refresh rate, and it runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0. A Dragon Trail
Pro glass protects the display, which also boasts a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
There's an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood, as well as an
Adreno 610 GPU and up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Realme has also stated that a
software update will include Dynamic RAM Expansion capability to the Realme 9i.
The unique technology virtually expands RAM by up to 5GB by using the phone's
built-in storage. To some extent, this will aid with multitasking.
The Realme 9i includes
a triple back camera configuration for images and movies, including a
50-megapixel primary Samsung sensor and an f/1.8 lens. A 2-megapixel portrait
camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera, both with an f/2.4 aperture, are also
included in the camera arrangement.
On the front, the
Realme 9i has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 selfie camera sensor with an f/2.1
lens.
The Realme 9i has up
to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be upgraded by microSD card (up to 1TB)
via a dedicated slot. 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB
Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are among the connectivity choices. An
accelerometer, ambient light, proximity sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint
sensor are among the sensors on board.
Dual stereo speakers
are included with the Realme 9i. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W Dart Charge
support. According to the manufacturer, the exclusive rapid charging technology
can charge a device from zero to 100 percent in just 70 minutes. On a single
charge, the built-in battery may provide up to 48.4 hours of talk time or 995
hours of standby time. The phone weighs 190 kilos and dimensions
164.4x75.7x8.4mm.
