Reham Khan, the ex-wife of the Pakistani prime minister, says he was shot and held at gunpoint

Reham Khan, the ex-wife of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, has alleged that an unidentified gunman opened fire on a vehicle he was traveling in on Sunday night.

Reham Khan, who targeted her ex-husband, said that under Imran Khan's rule, Pakistan had become a land of "cowards, robbers and greedy people".

"When I was returning from my nephew's wedding, my car was shot at and two men on a motorbike grabbed the vehicle at gunpoint! I just changed the vehicle. My PS and driver were in the car. Is this Imran Khan's new Pakistan? Welcome to the state of cowards, thugs and greedy people! ”She tweeted.

Although not injured, Reham Khan said the incident itself caused "anger and anxiety". She also commented that she prefers a duel rather than a "cowardly conspiracy."

Reham Khan, a British-Pakistani journalist and former TV presenter, was married to Imran Khan from 2014 to October 30, 2015. The 48-year-old is known to be a fierce critic of her ex-husband and occasionally criticizes him for his style of governing and public references.

Following the Pulwama attack in 2019, Reham Khan had said that Imran Khan was a puppet of the country's military and came to power by compromising on ideology and moderation.
