USHA MANGESHKAR SAID THAT HER SISTER LATA MANGESHKAR IS UNLIKELY TO BE RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL SOON AFTER UNDERGOING TESTS.
COVID
19 has recently claimed Lata Mangeshkar, who has been admitted to Mumbai's
breach candy hospital. The news broke this morning, stating that the iconic singer
was experiencing moderate symptoms and is currently in ICU. While speaking with
ANI, Lata's niece Rachna confirmed the information. While there have been
rumours that Lata Mangeshkar may be released soon, her sister Usha Mangeshkar
has finally spoken out about her sister's condition and claimed that the
legendary singer will not be released anytime soon.
Usha
Mangeshkar told the Times of India that because it is a COVID 19 matter, she is
unable to meet Lata Mangeshkar. He further stated that because of Lata's age,
she will be admitted to the hospital. "We are unable to see Didi since it
is a COVID case." However, there are enough doctors and nurses on hand.
Because of her age, the doctors have said they would keep her for an extra day
or two," Usha was quoted as saying to TOI.
Meanwhile,
Lata Mangeshkar has pneumonia, according to Dr. Pratith Samdhani, but she is
recovering well. During an interview with India Today, Shekhar Suman and Mukesh
Khanna expressed their best wishes to the famed vocalist. "Oh God!"
exclaimed Shekhar Suman. At her age, this is devastating news. But I am
confident that the love and prayers of millions of her supporters will ensure
that she returns home well."
