FIVE PEOPLE, INCLUDING CHILDREN, WERE BURIED IN DEBRIS AFTER A HOUSE COLLAPSED IN NARELA, DELHI; RESCUE EFFORTS ARE CONTINUING


A four-story house collapsed in Delhi's Narela Industrial sector on Friday, burying at least five people, including children. A total of four fire tenders were dispatched to the scene.

Two ladies were recovered from the rubble and taken to a local hospital, according to officials. Their health is said to be in good hands. At least three other individuals, including a nine-year-old girl, remained trapped beneath the crumbled house's wreckage. Locals believe there may be two or three more persons trapped beneath the rubble.

Using a JCB machine, the rescue workers attempted to remove the rubble. The incident resulted in no injuries.
