IN A KARNATAKA SCHOOL TEXTBOOK, MALAYALAM ACTOR KUNCHACKO BOBAN IS IDENTIFIED AS A POSTMAN: 'FINALLY MANAGED TO GET A GOVT JOB.'

Kunchacko Boban, a Malayalam actor, has been classified as a postman in one of Karnataka's school textbooks. The actor brought the gaffe to the public's attention by making a joke about it on his Instagram account.

"Finally, I was able to secure a government position in Karnataka. The actor captioned a screenshot from the textbook in which he is introduced as a postman, "The prayers of the postman who brought letters all those years ago." The textbook's featured image is a still from Kunchacko's 2010 film Oridathoru Postman, in which he played a local postman.

Kunchacko's post drew some amusing replies from his industry peers. Midhun Manuel Thomas, the director, joked that Kunchacko would not be given any time off to start the new job. "How are things going to turn out?" You will not be granted leave simply because you have a job. I've begun working on the script. In the comments area, he said, "Please inbox me Raju's number when you have time."

Kunchacko's most recent film appearance was in the comedy Bheemante Vazhi. Pada, the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual Rendagam, Pakalum Paathiraavan, and Ariyippu are among his upcoming films.
