INDIA'S OPTIMISM RATE FALLS TO 7.9%, WITH 1,27,952 NEW CASES AND 1,051 DEATHS.


New Delhi: Today, India reported 1,27,952 new Covid cases, down 14% from yesterday. The percentage of people who are optimistic has dropped to 7.9%. The active cases account for 3.16 percent of all infections, while the COVID-19 recovery rate in the United States has dropped to 95.64 percent.

1. Due to the new version Omicron, the number of Covid cases has been quickly increasing since December. The number of active cases in India is currently 13,31,648.

2. In the previous 24 hours, there have been 1,059 additional Covid-related deaths. On Friday, the death toll from COVID-19 surpassed 500,000, a figure that many health experts believe was attained last year but was masked by erroneous surveys and unaccounted for dead in the hinterlands, where millions are still at risk.

3. In the last 24 hours, at least 2,30,814 recoveries were made, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,02,47,902.

4. The weekly Covid positivity rate is 11.21 percent, whereas the daily positivity rate is 7.98 percent.

5. After 16,03,856 tests were performed in the previous 24 hours, new cases were registered. In India, a total of 73.79 crore Covid tests have been performed to date.

6.According to the health ministry, about 169 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country thus far. Until 7 p.m. on Friday, almost 42 lakh (42,95,142) vaccination doses had been administered.

7. In Delhi, there were 2,272 new COVID-19 cases and 20 deaths, with a positive rate of 3.85%. Due to a decrease in the number of instances, the national capital has further reduced COVID-19 limits.

8. In the last 24 hours, Maharashtra reported 13,840 new cases. The number of cases has begun to decline statewide, according to state health minister Rajesh Tope, who predicts that the third wave of the epidemic would be gone by the second or third week of March.

9.  Kerala recorded 38,684 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with 28 deaths.

10. According to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus tracker, the US mortality toll from the Covid-19 outbreak topped 900,000 on Friday. Only a month and a half ago, the death toll had reached 800,000 people.
