4 BORDER FORCE JAWANS WERE KILLED IN A SHOOTING BY A COLLEAGUE, AND THE SHOOTER WAS KILLED.

New Delhi, India: Officials say five Border Security Force (BSF) employees were murdered this morning in Punjab's Amritsar after one of them opened fire on his colleagues indiscriminately. Constable Satteppa SK, the shooter, was one of those who killed in the tragedy. However, the news agency PTI said that it was unclear whether he shot himself or was shot by others. Another soldier was seriously hurt and was taken to the hospital.

The event occurred at the 144th battalion's campus in the district's Khasa sector, around 12-13 kilometres from the Attari-Wagah border crossing on the India-Pakistan international front.

Constable Sateppa SK allegedly fired his service firearm and shot bullets on five of his coworkers between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m., according to an officer.

Personnel in the ranks of constable and head constable have been among the victims.

A court of inquiry has been ordered to determine the facts, according to the spokeswoman. Officials did not specify what prompted the accused to shoot at his coworkers or what prompted him to do so.

According to sources, senior officers from the border troops have hurried to the scene.
