BHAGWANT MANN OF THE AAP SAID THE OATH WILL NOT BE TAKEN AT THE PUNJAB RAJ BHAWAN

Punjab's Dhuri: On Thursday, Punjab Chief Minister-elect Bhagwant Mann received applause from the gathering when he announced that his inauguration would take place in Khatkarkalan, the ancestral hamlet of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in Nawanshahr district.

He also stated that the Chief Minister's photo will no longer be displayed in government offices, as is customary.

"The inauguration will take place in Khatkarkalan, rather than Raj Bhawan. The exact date will be announced at a later time "In Dhuri, where he won by almost 58,000 votes, he said this in his victory speech.

Mr Mann stated, "No government office would have a photograph of the Chief Minister; instead, there will be pictures of Bhagat Singh and BR Ambedkar."

"Bade (Parkash Singh) Badal Sahib has lost, Sukhbir (Badal) has lost from Jalalabad, Captain has lost from Patiala, Sidhu and Majithia are also losing, (Charanjit Singh) Channi has lost on both the seats," the AAP leader stated, highlighting the magnitude of the Aam Aadmi Party's triumph.

Mr. Mann stated that his first order of business upon becoming government will be to focus on schools, health, industry, lucrative agriculture, women's safety, and strengthening sports infrastructure.

"Within a month, you will notice a difference in Punjab," he claimed.

He urged people to work together, saying that those who did not vote for the AAP need not be concerned since the government will work for all members of society.

After the first six hours of counting votes on Thursday, the Aam Aadmi Party had a clean sweep in Punjab, with a lead in 91 of the 117 assembly seats.

Arvind Kejriwal, the party's national convener, hailed the people of the state on a "revolution."
