REALME GT 2 PRO WITH SNAPDRAGON 8 GEN 1 UNVEILED AT MWC 2022; GT NEO 3 TO HAVE 150W CHARGING
At
the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022, Realme unveiled its GT Pro 2 flagship
smartphone. The business also revealed that the GT Neo 3 smartphone will
include 150W 'UltraDart Charge' technology, which can charge the phone to 50%
in just five minutes. In the second quarter of 2022, the GT Neo 3 will be
available in India.
Madhav
Sheth, VP of Realme and President of Realme International Business Group,
described the GT 2 Pro as a "far more ambitious initiative" for the
Realme brand, saying they hoped to provide consumers with another option. Apple
and Samsung, Sheth confessed, dominated the segment.
"We
used a 50MP camera with a 150-degree wide-angle lens. That is, in my opinion,
one of the most wonderful characteristics of this device. "The phone has
all of the top features, and I believe we will be able to provide more options
for people in this price range," he said. He also mentioned that the phone
would run Realme UI 3.0, which is based on Android 12 and offers consumers a
variety of customization choices as well as total privacy management.
Sheth
highlighted that the device's 150W quick charging capability would not be its
main selling point. Rather, the corporation views it as a feature that can
provide users with peace of mind. "In today's environment, people want to
be connected at all times. Fast charging is one of the technologies that serves
as a touchpoint for customers, enhancing their experience and providing
complete piece of mind. We want to make sure this isn't just a marketing
gimmick," he continued.
He
also stated that the company intends to bring more ecosystem devices, such as
audio goods, wearables, laptops, tablets, and televisions, to the country.
Specifications
and pricing for the Realme GT 2 Pro
To
date, the Realme GT 2 Pro is the company's most pricey flagship. It starts at
Euro 649, which is almost $725. This translates to around Rs 54,000 in India,
albeit the official market price has yet to be declared. The price of GT 2 will
begin at Euro 449. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU powers the Realme GT 2 Pro, while
the Snapdragon 888 will power the GT 2.
The
GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2K resolution display with low-temperature
polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) 2.0 technology, which allows the refresh rate to
auto-adjust based on the situation and improves battery life. The refresh rate
can range from 1 to 120 cycles per second. This is a 10-bit colour display with
a 1400 nits peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus is installed on top of
the phone for added protection.
Realme
claims that the phone's cooling has been improved, with a 9-layer cooling
structure for long-term performance without overheating. The company claims to
have worked with Naoto Fukasawa, a world-renowned industrial designer, to
create the industry's first bio-based polymer design.
Paper
White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue are the four colour options
for the phone. The Realme GT 2 Pro Master Edition's rear shell is made of a
"bio-based copolymer material," which results in lesser carbon
emissions and is created from "biomass waste or residue."
The
phone boasts three cameras, one of which is a 150-degree ultra-wide lens. At
the back, Realme has two 50MP cameras, one of which is wide-angle and the other
ultra-wide. The third camera is a macro camera with a resolution of 40
megapixels. The Sony IMX766 sensor is used in both 50MP cameras, which have
pixel Omni-directional PDAF and OIS. For photographs, the IMX766 has optical
image stabilisation, while for movies, it has electrical image stabilisation.
The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.
Realme
UI 3.0 will be pre-installed on the phone, with three years of OS updates
included. It has new 3D icons, Fluid Space Design, and Omojis, as well as
enhanced privacy features such as app permission control and location
concealment. For the GT 2 series, Realme says it would provide three years of
major Android OS updates and four years of Android security fixes.
A
5000 mAh battery and 65W SuperDart charging power the Realme GT 2 Pro.
Meanwhile, the GT 2 shares many of the same characteristics as the GT 2 Pro,
such as design, battery, Realme UI 3.0, and RAM. This one, on the other hand,
is powered by the Snapdragon 888 CPU.
The Realme GT Neo 3
comes with a 150W charger.
The
company also revealed that the next Realme GT Neo 3 will feature 150W charging,
which will charge the phone to 50% in just five minutes. UltraDart Charging
Architecture (UDCA), the world's first 100W-200W smart device charging
architecture, will also be unveiled. Realme claims to be concentrating on
mass-producing phones using this technology.
Realme's
UDCA supports charging powers ranging from 100 to 200 watts. Multi Boost Charge
Pumps are used to increase the charging current, allowing the smartphone to
charge faster. According to the business, UDCA will be safe and have a long
battery life. Realme GT Neo 3 will be the first smartphone to use a new 150W
UDCA charger.
