12 DEAD, 14 INJURED IN RUSH AT MATA VAISHNO DEVI SHRINE IN J&K
Jammu: Twelve devotees have passed away and more than twelve harmed in a rush at Jammu and Kashmir's Mata Vaishno Devi place of worship. The rush was set off by a "minor fight among some young men" in the amid massive stampede worships on New Year, authorities said today. Top state leader Narendra Modi is "expressly observing and monitoring the unfortunate circumstance," a priest in his office said.
Mukesh Singh, the Additional Director General of Police or ADGP, affirmed that 12 explorers have passed on and something like 14 are harmed in the charge. "All the harmed have been taken to an emergency clinic," he added.
The episode happened external the sanctum sanctorum of the place of worship on Trikuta slopes. Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said that an undeniable level request has been arranged into the rush.
"Fundamental data from the scene recommends that a minor quarrel among some little fellows prompted the charge at the Mata Vaishno Devi sanctum where 12 individuals sadly passed on," Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh said.
"Police and authorities from the common organization rushed to react, and the request inside the group was quickly reestablished, yet at that point, the harm had been done," he told Press Trust of India.
He further said that every one of those harmed have been taken to medical clinics, where the state of some is expressed to be "genuine".
"Profoundly tormented at the deficiency of lives because of rush at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. My sympathies to the groups of the perished and petitions with the harmed," the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha said in a tweet from his authority account.
