NEERAV WINS NATIONAL AWARD AGAIN

Neerav, who painted more than 2,000 paintings in six years age, won the National Award again. He is the son of Ganesh Velandi, a children's writer, and Sunitha, an employee of the Irrigation Department.

The Koothuparamba native won a place in the top 5 paintings in the drawing competition organized by the Nagpur Basoli Group. The film won the National Award for 'virtues of the Village'. Neerav received the award in the age group of five to ten years.

The film was selected by a panel of judges comprising Dilip Rande and Sudhakar Chauhan. Earlier, Neerav was able to reach the top ten in a national competition in which more than a thousand children participated. That's what made Neerav qualify for this competition. Neerav is a first class student of Kottayam Malabar Govt. Higher Secondary School.
