REPORTS SAY A SOLAR STORM WILL HIT THE EARTH TODAY. NASA
New
Delhi, India: On March 28, a solar storm is predicted to impact Earth directly,
according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). A solar
storm is a phenomenon in which electromagnetic eruptions from the sun's surface
cause a significant number of particles to flow. According to NASA, there is a
chance that a powerful solar storm will collide with the Earth's atmosphere in
the United Kingdom.
However,
it's worth mentioning that NASA and the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration disagree on the time of the solar storm's collision with the
Earth. According to NASA, the collision with the Earth would occur at 6 a.m. on
March 28; however, NOAA of America estimates that the catastrophe occurred 18
hours earlier. During the strike, a bright glow can be observed in some parts
of the UK.
The
atmosphere will appear to glow when solar winds enter the Earth's magnetic
field or atmosphere, which is known as Aurora Polaris. It's also known as
Northern Light in the northern hemisphere.
Dr.
Tamitha Skov, dubbed the "space weather woman," has forecast
high-frequency radio difficulties and reception at any time of day on any side
of the Earth when the storm strikes.
She
also indicated that the collision's effects could be felt in the mid-latitudes.
"It could be visible in rural areas of New York," she stated when
asked if people will be able to see the brilliant light hitting the sky during
a solar storm.
In
addition, the Aurora will be visible in New Zealand, and a storm will hit
Tasmania in the evening. The prospect of seeing light can be produced in these
locations if there is enough darkness.
